By creating an account and using the Lokado app ("the service"), you agree to these terms of service. If you do not agree to the terms, you should not use the service.
2. About the Service
Lokado is a location-based discovery app for Norway that allows users to:
- Check in at places (restaurants, cafes, attractions, parks)
- Write reviews and give ratings
- Earn points and unlock achievements (badges)
- Complete quests (missions) to discover new places
- Share recommendations with other users
3. User Account and Responsibility
3.1 Account Requirements
- Age Limit: You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
- Email: You must provide a correct email address
- Security: You are responsible for keeping your password secret
- Notification: You must notify us immediately if your account is compromised
3.2 User Responsibility
As a user of Lokado, you are responsible for:
- Accurate Information: Providing correct and up-to-date information
- Responsible Use: Using the app in a responsible and legal manner
- Respect: Treating other users with respect
- Security: Protecting your account and device
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Lokado to:
- Illegal Activities: Break Norwegian or international law
- Harmful Content: Share content that is harmful, threatening or offensive
- Spam: Send unwanted messages or spam
- Abuse: Try to hack or sabotage the service
- False Reviews: Write false or misleading reviews
5. Content and Intellectual Property
5.1 Your Content
You retain ownership of content you upload, but give us permission to:
- Display your content in the app
- Store and distribute the content
- Moderate content according to our guidelines
5.2 Our Content
The Lokado app, including design, logos and functionality, is protected by copyright and belongs to Lokado.
6. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. See our privacy policy for details on how we collect, use and protect your personal information.
7. Service Availability
We strive to keep the service available 24/7, but cannot guarantee 100% uptime. We may perform planned maintenance that may affect availability, and we may update the app with new features and improvements.
8. Liability and Limitations
- Service provided "as is": We make no warranties that the service will be error-free or uninterrupted
- Limited liability: Our liability is limited to what you have paid for the service (which is free)
- Third-party services: We are not responsible for services or content from third parties
9. Account Termination
You can terminate your account at any time by:
- Sending an email to [email protected]
- Requesting deletion of your account
- We will delete the account and your data within 30 days
We may also terminate your account if you violate these terms.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the app. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Any disputes shall be resolved by Norwegian courts.
